The Garbage Man 's Pickup Guidelines
All regular pick ups must follow these guidelines:
Trash must be out on the curb before 6 am.
Trash must be bagged and contained.
Limit the weekly amount of garbage to either 2 (96gal) cans or 4 (30-50gal) cans.
Please bag or bundle any/all yard waste and leave outside of cans.
4* bags (32 gal kitchen bags) of yard waste are allowed in addition to the regular cans.
Make sure that branches are cut to 3-4 ft in length and bundled. **Bundles must be manageable and left beside the can. NOT LOOSE in a can.
A Good Rule of Thumb:
If you have any item(s) that you would not NORMALLY have on a weekly basis, give us a call or shoot us an email!
*Excess yard materials can be picked up for an additional fee if scheduled in advance.
**On a weekly basis you can have 4 bags OR 4 bundles of yard materials
There are some things that CAN be picked up BUT ONLY IF they are scheduled 1 to 2 weeks in advance. These items COST EXTRA.
Items such as:
- Wood/Particle Board/2x4s/Fencing
- Carpet/Carpet Pad
- Particle Board
- Furniture - any kind (broken down or intact)
- Doors - any kind (broken down or intact)
- Windows - any kind (broken down or intact)
- Appliances - select few
If an item or items is not on these lists
PLEASE CONTACT US.
An item not appearing on the list does not necessarily mean that it can be picked up.
The Garbage Man unfortunately cannot pickup the following items, because they are either prohibited by law or too heavy/unmanageable for our guys to pickup:
- Car Batteries
- Battery Acid
- Wet Paint - Sherwin Williams can dispose of old paint
- Motor Oil
- Toxic Chemicals
- Dead Animals
- Body Parts
- Electric Generators
- Medical Waste
- Toxic Waste
- Railroad ties
- Heavy Steel
- Metal Poles
- Barbed wire
No Automotive Parts Whatsoever
Trash CANNOT be shared with any other household.
If you do not see an item listed BUT it is something that you would not have on a weekly basis than please call or email us before your pickup to find out if it is acceptable.
Items listed below can be picked up for an additional charge but MUST be scheduled in advance.
- Flooring (i.e. carpet, wood, linoleum, etc)
- Dry Wall
- Wood (i.e. 2x4s, siding, fencing, paneling, etc)
These materials (or items like them) can be picked up for an additional charge and MUST be scheduled separately beforehand.
PLEASE CALL AHEAD If you have any items that are UNUSUAL
(i.e. construction/remodeling materials, appliances) to verify whether or not pick-up is possible.
If a pickup is not possible we can refer you to an alternative choice.
If your pick up amount exceeds the above mentioned limit or if you are in need of a large item pick up,
please call our office at least one week in advance.
Our office hours are 7AM to 4PM Monday-Thursday, 7AM - Noon Friday
